Man, you travel a lot. Merapi is near my place. It's only 15 Km from my house. The 2010 eruption was such a nightmare.

Thanks for your comment. Wow, that means that you have experienced the full might of the eruption. I am so sad by the loss that the many suffered. I have tried to capture the story in a few pictures. Thanks again for your comment and I will check your work and see what you have captured from that.

Thank you, Yes, I like this too, but I still cannot believe that it survived the onslaught of the volcanic gasses and heat.

Yes it is unbelivable. Sometimes there are things which simply couldn't exist. You could already make photobook based on this serie about volcano eruptions. It realy touching.

I felt so sad and heartbroken to see all the suffering there. I think that it would be hard to do, but I am considering it.

I agree completely but it could be very good book because of the real pain and emotions of people in it. Just my opinion. I don't like to hear anything about superstars and politics but better to see and read about real people and their feelings and even disasters. It is the only things which really touch.

Looks like something left over from war... Only this time it wasn't a war because war implies that both sides have an equal chance of winning. In the case of Earth versus Humanity, Earth wins and will continue to win every time.

It is just a sad sad story. I actually walked on the houses and saw how people were digging it up just to find anything of value. One guy and his sun tried to salvage steel from their house for selling.

It's amazing what people will do, how far they may go just for some money, but at the same time, an understanding that you don't exactly know what these people go through is necessary before you pass personal judgement.

I agree and the suffering after all of this make people do whatever necessary just to survive. The little they acquire in a lifetime has been taken away in a brief moment...heart breaking!

It is, it is... That's like here in the States, we've been having some crazy tornado weather this year. Entire towns erased from Earth's surface in literally minutes.

Yes, I know and it is a painful experience for both the victims and countries. The rath of nature has no limits and it just reminds us that we should respect it.

Yeah You have no idea. We stood in awe when we saw the total destruction after being there two years ago. We stood on top of the houses we previously photographed.
