Description
The F-73A Revenant is a 6th generation tailless air superiority fighter. It uses fluidic 2D thrust vectoring nozzles, split ailerons, integrated tail surfaces (see McDonnell Douglas ACWFT 1204), and leading edge slats and deflectable chines to increase the maneuverability of the aircraft. It has 2 Free Electron Laser turrets (top and bottom). There are two side weapons bays for AIM-9X Sidewinders and two main bays carrying a new weapon called the AIM-280 Have Dash III (basically meant to be a successor the Have Dash missile programs; a stealthy AAM with the same size parameters as an AIM-120C). The aircraft uses countershading to prevent visual detection from adversaries (I used the colors from images of the McDonnell Douglas/Boeing Bird of Prey and similar layouts).Related content

Thank you! Considering your work is great, that comment is quite appreciated.

I'd wondered if you had used the ACWFT 1204 as some inspiration.

I used that aircraft and another that I had seen on a Northrop Grumman study (it's linked in one of the threads on Secret Projects Forum) which used the deltoid and triangular chine configuration with different control effectors, including deflectable chines (chine slats if you will, I think the closest example would be akin to the one on the Boeing 2707 VG wing design). Also a little of the NATF-23 and Boeing F/A-XX influenced the design.

Aw dude no worries. If anything I had fun doing it. I only had about 2 weeks in between a ton of work to do my designs. I don't plan on winning either, but all we can take away is we had fun.
What's your Moddb name?

Ah that sucks. Your design is actually interesting in its capabilities rather than just the appearance. I remember seeing a long while back some designer made a stealth aircraft design that used only infrared detection, faceted stealth, and internalized weapon loads to act as a sneaky air superiority fighter. Problem is, I can't seem to find it anymore.
You did work on Hawx? Interesting. I never got into that game, but I love the aircraft they have in it.

Yeah, I can spin the tale, and yes I have had a whole side story set in what little of the VT world we know. It would have an OG aircraft dev in a small nation dealing with all that superweapons everywhere.
I still have the game, I just am not big in modding it anymore.
I can extract the models though (was going t put the XA-20 in VT when I figure out how.)

Interesting.
It would be cool to see the Razorback in VT!
