Kana peeked out from behind her Grandfather, only to be met with the gaze of a dozen or so teen superheroes. She felt the blood rush to her face, and quickly hid behind him again. There were so many amazing people... and she was about to become one of them.

The butterflies in her stomach threatened to fly out of her mouth, and she subconsciously touched the tattoo on her arm. Her Grandfather, sensing her nerves, turned around and gave her a reassuring smile. Kana let out a weak smile in return, and looked back to the group of young heroes. In a swift glance, she noted the variety amongst them. At least one of them must speak Japanese right? Her English was fine, enough that she could get a general idea of what was being said, but it was difficult and tiring to do that throughout the day. And if she was on a mission and misunderstood...

Kana's thoughts were interrupted by the absence of her Grandfather. She looked around the room for him, alarm evident in everything from her body language to the sudden gasp that left her lips.

"You alright there?" A voice asked, and Kana did her best to not seem like a frightened animal.
"Er, yes, I am quite fine." She answered, trying her best to think back to her ESL classes. "Sorry, my Ojiisan... Grandfather. He is gone." The boy in front of her was wearing a black mask over his eyes, and an 'R' symbol on the left breast of his mostly red outfit. She observed the various gadgets and staff strapped to the boys side. She subtlety quirked an eyebrow. He doesn't have any powers?

"He's just talking to Batman. Making sure that everything's a-okay, you know? I'm Robin by the way. I'll introduce you to the rest of the Team if you want." The boy - Robin - offered, a friendly smile on his face. Seeing the hesitation on Kana's face, Robin talked more.
"It's okay, they won't bite. Well, most of them won't. Come on...?" He trailed off, and it took Kana a moment to realise that he was asking for her name.
"Ka -" She stopped, remembering that she had to use her alias, her superhero name. "Ryuu. You can call me Ryuu." And with that, Kana grinned, and walked over with Robin to meet the rest of the Team.

It was about time I actually did something with this OC. A while back a made a profile and everything for her, and that took about 3 weeks of research. I'm not gonna waste that time, so expect to see a bit more of Kana! She's a real cutie, the polar opposite of a certain cookie we all know and love to hate .
