Thought I'd give this a show. Little quick sketches of our favorite Chromatic Red Dragon's expressions.If you must know, I use a template that I've created myself for a lot of Jon's head shots. Mostly to keep his look the same in each image. I don't want to be a scale off.
The last expression, if he makes that face at you, RUN!

Wow those are really great expressions for Jonathan. I love his happy and frightened facial expression. Yup, I agree with Kim anything can bring fear into anyone hearts, including, the Dark Dragon.
Yeah I do not want to get Jonathan really ticked off, if I accidentally did, I would run or fly for my life!

That's why I developed a template to go by for Jon because he's not easy to draw at all.
Yup, that's how I sketch too. Very quick gesturie. Someone at my art class told me how he hated how I sketch because it was never clean looking. I told him to shove it. It's how I draw. I don't do clean lines because I know I'll go in and paint over the lines anyways.

I could use this because it's clean, actually. That guy who said that's a fucking idiot. =/ And I've seen your sketches, they're dirty like mine, but that's what a sketch is all about. You can still see what the character/object is so why complain?

I've been drawing him for over 2 years now, so I can help out with the kinks in getting his look right. Also, what helps is to look up every image of D&D Chromatic Red Dragons you can find. That's what I do.

Oh I don't have to look up the images, I've got the Draconimicon D&D book, just because the Dragons were pretty. XDD Sad no?

ChunkMonkey-- I mean Telek's study will come last, Elites are easier, but I don't want to be distracted from studying on Jon. Same with the floaty chair, that'll come second.

Very cool, its interesting to see character expressions that you don't see too often, especially the cute looking happy and scared expressions!
If anything else, that last expression would rarely be seen due to that for one you are running the other way and two if you are looking its the last thing you will ever see. XD

he is freaking colossal red dragon, hard to believe anything could scare him, but yeah i suppose a few things could.
