This picture means a lot to me.Everyday I come on to dA hoping someone will notice my art, leave me a message, watch me, anything just so i know that someone cared about my artwork even for a second. Normally this doesn't happen. Usually the only messages in my inbox are "thanks for the Favs" and Favs. (which I could care less about really) So if you come across this please comment or comment and fav. Avoid faving and running (even though most people still will) I could talk about the personal symbolism more but I don't feel like it at the moment
Anyway The binary code actually means stuff. I put a "/" in between each word and "//" between each phrase.
If you can actually figure it out I will do something special (probably draw you something

Thanks to everyone who comments on this saying something along the lines of "I can connect to this" "I've felt this way" because it means a lot.
It's really made me feel like I've actually made my mark on the world and it's a small one (for right now) but it really makesme happy and feel like a true artist.

I find this piece very much a great representation of what many of us on DA feel. I can clearly see the emotion etched on the person's face, of longing and hoping. I also love the binary paper, it's a nice touch to symbolize that a computer, a site no-less, is so much and so changed when you connect with someone, that's it's not just a piece of hardware harboring entertainment, it is a means of reaching out, a means to brush one's fingers against the embodiment of true happiness and fulfillment that is recognition.
As well, the hands are exceptional.

i can relate soo much. i am on the computer 24/7 because its were i can truely make connections. i dont have to repeat myself here. i dont have to feel completely ignored here. (most of the time) if one person ignores me ten more will see the message and respond. it fills a void that most of the time is left empty ( completely in the view of a high school student)

Hey, I know it's just what everyone else has said, all the replies you will get to this...but, you know, I get it. I feel the same way. I've spent a long time looking at this (I like the hair, the laptop, and the lighting) and I know that more people deserve positive attention than will ever get it.
I know exactly why I'm an artist. Every time I make something, every time I write a story, that's one more thing I can point to that proves that I'm a real person, that I exist. Sometimes I think my artwork proves that I have some skill and value; other times it just proves that I'm here, that I exist.
Some things I guessed on, some things were covered up, but I copied it all down in a notebook and spent some time with a chart of binary-to-character translations. Iloveyou//weneedtotalk//helpme//ineedyou//saveme//illwalwaysbethereforyou//what//why. (Am I at least close?)
Wow, I'm already learning a bit of binary. Capital letters start with 010; lower-case letters start with 011; numbers start with 0011. A space is 00100000.

You have a lot of messages to go through buddy. Anyway, I want you to know how much this picture means to me. One of the reasons I joined dA was so I could connect with people. I personally don't think my stuff is all that great, but whenever someone favs or leaves a kind message I feel that much more likely to succeed. Some might call that pathetic but I call it human. Thanks for making this; I know it means a lot to many people.

I think everyone can relate to this. Even people like, say me, who has a little bit of a following and gets a good amount of favs on pictures but... for me that doesn't really make me feel better about my art. I want to know what people think about it, and what I can improve on or what I should change or what they like the most.

I feel very identified with this image.
I know how you feel, I have that feeling too, when you think "I gonna enter in dA and check if anyone commented in my art" or something like that.
It's like looking find people on the other side of the screen and realize you're not alone, and your deviations aren't just pictures on a museum's wall, where people look and go.
A comment can be simple, but it makes you feel like this image. I support you with avoiding faving and running ^^
And finally, I applaud you for capture a lot of feelings in a picture that speaks for itself
