What's funny is that Akira Toriyama recently said that Goku is now only going to utilize SSJ1, due to SSJ2 & SSJ3 causing shortage of Ki and massive strain, and is going to train to utilize the full power of SSJ1 without the hindrances.
In short one can now interpret Goku using his full power in this scene.

My thoughts in this fight is this...based on all writing and comics/manga it really comes down to one thing: Goku obeys the laws of physics (within the realm of his character), while Superman does not. All the alleged shit Superman can do quite frankly is absolutely impossible; no matter can operate at the speeds and strengths that he theoretically can without either annihilating itself or ripping a hole through the fabric spacetime, which would essentially destroy reality. Goku's absolute fastest move, Instant Transmission, isn't even instant as it is based of Quantum theory, and in the American translations it simply converts his body to particle mass to travel at the speed of light, which makes sense.
The thing that pisses me off is that in this sense it is clear that Akira Toryama wanted to make Goku a mortal with flaws and weaknesses, where as the writers of Superman were basically like "Ohh! he can do anything and never die or lose ever except when theres some bullshit made up element kryptonite around and even them 99% of the time he can manage to escape and beat it somehow." If you judge a fight by those standards then its clear that yes, Superman can beat anyone and any possible entity due to his ability to pull physics out his ass and basically do whatever the fuck he wants. But if you take superman from more of a "man of steel" angle or Post Crisis than more than likely Goku would take the day easy. Not to say that superman couldn't win that fight, but the odds would be dramatically turned against him in said situations.

The "breaks down molecules and travel at the speed of light" is a mistranslation. Instant Transmission is instant.
Also, Goku doesn't obey the laws of physics either. He can create explosives out of his body, which isn't big enough to hold the amount of energy he has. He destroyed the square root law when transforming into a giant ape. He can defy gravity. He has a staff that can extend to the moon. And most insulting of all, he can stand on a fucking cloud, which travels at a velocity of Mach 3.
And Superman isn't nearly as bad as you make it out to be. Post-Crisis is more powerful than Goku, sure, but he's not a top tier in his universe. He's just a mid-tier at best. He has weaknesses, if you remember. And he is a critically acclaimed character studied by scholars and sociologists alike.
Also, if what you talk about is a fight between them. Show a feat with Goku showing Planet Busting physical attacks.

How many superman comics do you read? In the comics he has withstood supernovas, being CRUSHED by two planets, and even move the Earth. Goku DOES NOT posses that much strength.

To put it mildly, Supes survived being crushed by two planets colliding, and was able to move the Earth back into orbit. His strength greatly depends on how much he soaks up solar radiation. The more he holds, the more powerful he becomes. The more he uses, the weaker he gets until he hits his reserves. When that happens, he basically opens the throttle until he uses it all up. During that time, his power increases. So the longer he doesn't use up either his normal energy or his reserves, he gets stronger. Read the Death of Superman to understand his reserves a little and some more of the modern from the 80's to 2010 to learn more and you will understand that Goku won't stand a chance at all. Even when he uses SS 2 3 or 4.

How many of the comics do you read? Batman only uses the ring when Superman is out of control and that trick of stalling Supes won't work. Goku has an absurd sense of honor, he is too damn nice. He will NEVER fight Superman at anything less than his best. Goku did it with Frieza, Cell and Vegeta. He has a bad rep for letting his opponent fight at their full power. Goku is retarded when it comes to intelligence. Fighting is the only thing he knows more of than anyone else. Superman is a genius. His intelligence level is greater than ours by an order of magnitude. His IQ is over 300.

Goku fights faster than Superman, and with his I.T. Technique he can be anywhere in the universe in a given moment. I know too many people who favor Superman overlooks these crucial facts.
What Superman has going for him is his god-like strength, endurance, travel speed, and unlimited energy. Within a yellow, or a blue star solar system that gives him at least 2x the energy of what a yellow star gives him, Superman would defeat SSJG Goku. Unless Goku uses I.T. to transport them both to a red star S.S.
I'm stating the fact that at least a post-SSJG Goku can defeat Superman in only certain places in the universe. You know Bills can create a red star with his Ki energy. Who's to say he won't teach Goku this technique in the future? Though we can't count that as a feat right now.
I'm saying, if anyone from manga/anime is going to fight on par with certain stages and incarnations of Superman, it's going to be Goku. I do know a few more powerful characters from anime than Goku, but I can't be bothered to mention them...some of them are from the 80's.

Before that, he always excelled to a higher power with his own ki energy after being provoked to do so. The fact that Goku threw away his pride like that means that his character is finally developing further.
True. If they crossed paths there's a 100% that Superman would eventually try to recruit Goku for the JL, but only after learning how pure of heart the Saiyan is.
You should know that I know this. As long as he has a yellow or blue star shine on him, the man of steel will have unlimited energy. Also, post ssjg Goku is more than powerful enough to destroy any, if not, most stars in the known universe. Being a Solar System buster and all. (only when in ssjg form I think).
