Seriously guys why the fuck would they fight! (good picture by the way) there essentially the same fucking character in the sense that they both are goody two shoes, they both were sent to earth in a little space ship as babys and they both would give you the clothes off there back due to there kind hearted nature. Instead of having them fight I'd love to see them team up to fight a greater threat......there I got that shit off my chest I've been holding that in for ages.

Dude, Superman's strong. But he's just an alien. Beerus is a God....... Goku would flatten Superman. Because I highly doubt Superman would be able to handle Frieza in third form let alone final or gold form. I'm sorry, there is just no way Superman is that strong. Though he'd definitely be able to handle more attacks them most heroes do against anyone on that level.

1. Saying that Superman's an alien but Beerus is a god is kind of meaningless. "God" doesn't have any meaning in and of itselfβgods range in power from Discworld's Om to the Bible's Yahweh. Dragon Ball gods certainly aren't on the Yahweh end of the spectrum; the Supreme Kai was overshadowed by Goku and Vegeta, mere aliens, as well as Gohan, who's only half-alien.
2. We could go over the pertinent feats, but...DBZ never goes beyond planet-busting, while Superman tanks supernova-force explosions. There's no contest.

Yes, but this doesn't really mean that much. In the end, the result of the fightΒ it's just what they think will happen, but not necessarily what really will happen, and people choose to believe or not.

Oh, I know lol. I wasn't too fond of the battles and found them rather out of character for both Superman and Goku.
Neither of them would seek out to fight the other or kill each other just to prove who is stronger.

Goku would win. I'm sorry, but Superman is just a powered up alien with very little training. Goku would destroy him. Its like putting a weightlifter and a Kung Fu master in a fight. Superman being the weight lifter.

Not a fan boy, I prefer Frieza over Goku. I just dislike the fact that most people dont' realize the true strength behind the characters like them. Honestly Sora(From Kingdom Hearts) would likely be able to beat Superman with little trouble considering he defeated Sepheroth. Honestly most people put down the anime and Video Game Characters compared to the heroes when the Video Game characters and Anime Characters face enemies that would send most heroes running. Though I think both Goku and Sora would have a hard time against the Teen Titans(Original Not Teen Titans Go from Cartoon Network) Raven. She did defeat her father Trigon. Even if he was weakened by the rest of the Teen Titans and Powered up Slade.

so I will say, i'm a huge dbz fan and a huge dc fan. but you talk about training and number of battles... superman has been in more battles. plus there are some story lines where he learned several alien martial arts. its just that the writers/artist dont typically display his speed or skills. it is disappointing.

They just look at the facts and as much as I hated it, I can see why Superman would win. But as I stated, they would never fight because it's not in their personalities.

Actually Superman would lose, no doubt about it. Goku's not only as strong as Superman, he knows how to fight. Superman just punches wildly. Add in the fact that Goku's attacks are strong enough to destroy a Galaxy with little trouble. As well as several Super Sayian Transformations. Goku's a force to be reckoned with. After all, he went toe to toe(Even if he wasn't at full power) with Beerus, who would without a doubt kill Superman with little trouble since Beerus didn't show his full power. And Goku is training with Whis, who is even stronger then Beerus..... Superman doesn't honestly stand a chance. Vegeta could likely beat Superman, since he's pretty close to Goku in strength. And Frieza...... Well lets just say Superman's to heroic to let Frieza destroy the planet and would end up getting obliterated. Β Though you're right about one of them not wanting to fight. Goku would jump at the challenge to fight someone strong. After all, he challenge Beerus even though he didn't stand a chance at first. So yea, Goku would ask, though Superman would turn him down pretty quickly no matter how many times he asked.
I actually think Sora from Kingdom Hearts could beat Superman, since he did beat Sepheroth twice, even if he was holding back. He also be monster that would ruin Superman on a nearly daily basis. I'm sorry if you're a fan boy of Superman, but he isn't as strong as most people think he is.

Actually this whole fight doesn't have a straight up winner. It's to dependent on where you take these characters at what point in their carreers. Goku can keep overcoming his limits forever with training. While Superman's limits will steadily keep rising without end the longer he lives on earth under the yellow sun. They both have limitless potential. So when you really think about it either one can win or lose just based on the little tiny details or circumstances like that.
Paint a scenario if you will. Goku is training a thousand years and has thus become (insert number) times stronger since he started. Then you have Superman who spent that same amount of time just sitting inside a blue sun and his power increases (insert number). So really this depends on what stage of development you take these characters powers in their lives. At some point in time Superman may even become immune to kryptonite because of so much exposure.
Again these characters powersets are flexible and can change endlessly. They fluctuate. The only difference is in how they are increasing their power. These characters don't have a "peak" in the same way captain America or spider-man do. Cap is peak human and thus can no get any stronger then that no matter how much he trains. Goku's Sayain biology doesn't have that flaw. He can just train and train and just train some more. Heck if Goku were just a normal human he would never be able to constantly take up these new training regimes. He'd just hit a ceiling in his power and the most he could do is either train just enough to keep in shape or train so hard his body literally kills itself. But again Goku doesn't have this problem. His body constantly adapts to the increasing rigors he puts it through. While Superman doesn't exactly have that he still has something just as good. His power is external rather then internal. He's a battery that doesn't cap out. His power really only depends on how long he's been living under a star and how much he gains from it. So again this whole debate is a toss up because either one wins based on where you take them at. Because again their powers are flexible and will continue to grow forever. Much like the hulk. The madder he gets the stronger he gets. If Hulk never changed back into bruce Banner and stayed angry then he'd just continue getting stronger forever. But he doesn't because he always changes back. That's why he has a "base" level. they all share something in common. They all have limits. BUT they don't have a UPPER limit. That's the part that matters. "limitless potential" is not the same as infinite power. But's it's still a pretty good thing to have.
