Description
People occasionally ask me how I got as good as I am. Although I'm far from the best fan-artist out there, I thought I'd make this helpful guide to help people learn the process of constructing a cartoon character out of simple shapes. Also, this joke is so very old.Related content

Old but still oh-so-true in the case of some tutorials!
I found one on DA by an awesome digital fine art guy and its step between a handful of coloured layers and the finished near-photo-realistic end product was a step he called "adding details". That step was in 2 parts. When he'd started "adding details" (half the pic finished) and the end. Yet the first part with the sketch and adding a few blotches was rather detailed... I think he was being serious but I felt had.

Finally; I have a friend who I've been trying to get to draw ponies but he keeps complaining he doesn't know how. This will surely rob him of that excuse. Thanks a lot.
