For those of you who are unaware, The Simpsons just recently (as of the past few years) pulled the episode Stark Raving Dad (staring Michael Jackson, though credited as John Jay Smith) in wake of the documentary Leaving Neverland. Which acuses Michael Jackson of grooming children at Neverland Ranch. If you ask me, I think that the timing of the documentary was too convinient (as it came out around the 10 year anniversary of Jackson's death) and I don't think pulling the episode is going to solve anything. I'm not saying that Jackson is innocent nor am I planning to change people's opinions on the documentary. He could have done it but it happened so long ago and now he's dead that it's hard to prove. But here's where the hypocrisy beigns. The Simpsons staff worked with another groomer. John Kricfalusi better known as John K. of Ren and Stimpy fame was hired to animate a couch gag for season 23's Bart Stops to Smell The Roosevelts. Despite the fact that he groomed two teenage employees at his animation company, Spumco. Yet it hasn't been removed in the aftermath of John K. being exposed for who he really is. With more documented evidence against him than against Michael Jackson, mind you. Anyways, that's all for now. I might do a part two to this regarding Al Jean.
