Before you accuse me of demonizing both fandoms, I want to make a few things clear. You're allowed to like and dislike whatever you want. It's just that you shouldn't take your hatred of something too far. It's also fine to like Thomas The Tank Engine, Star Wars, and/or Marvel. I'm not here to defend Disney or Mattel. Nor do I think that all the fans of these franchises are toxic. It's just that fringe group of elitists within both of these fandoms that are giving the other members a bad reputation. If this post offends you in some way, I apologize. A little while ago, something struck me. And that was the suprising similarities between the Thomas Fandom and the Fandom Menace. As I feel that the toxic side of Thomas' fandom is more or less the Fandom Menance (the toxic part of nerd culture) of children's shows. As they both have similar complaints. Some are valid like the critcism of the writing. While others I feel are more extreme like hating diversity or people that disagree with you (i.e. attacking Disney Star Wars and All Engines Go fans). Once again, this isn't an attack on all the fans of these franchises but rather a call-out of that toxic portion that has to ruined it for the rest of us.
