Description
In this game of life
The objective is not to knock down the king
The objective is to keep standing strong
Participating in this game of chess
Until it's time to go into the light

In this game of life
You are a winner just by playing the game
And letting others play it too
Knocking down others will get you closer to the end
Until it's time to go into the light

In this game of life
Some choose to go only in straight lines
Some move only in little steps
Some run shortcuts from one place to the next
Until it's time to go into the light

In this game of life
You make decisions and enter the doors you choose
Moving when it's your time to go
You are a loser only if you seek to win the game
Until it's time to go into the light

This large building, located in the Muslim Quarter between the Damascus and Lions' Gates, was built in 1857 and served as a hospital from 1948 to 1985.
In recent years it was restored to its original use as a hostel for pilgrims and visitors to Jerusalem. Beautifully managed and renovated, the Austrian Hospice's gardens, terraces, fabulous rooftop vistas of the Old City

This is a picture I found very powerful in its treatment. The fish-eye effect creates a dual feeling of imprisonment and closeness: in this little world, it seems that nothing else can exist save what is represented in the picture, and there is no other way but to play this game until the end, until that last straight line is finally walked on. Moreover, all the closed doors around enforce that feeling. As for the black silhouette framed by the strong light, it indeed appears as some kind of ultimate goal to attain, both vulnerable and yet still strong enough to provide a worthy last stand.

In itself, it is not the most original photograph I've ever seen, but it has definitely left a strong impression on me.

Your pictures and poems always complete each other. Two halves of a whole that only have a full impact when they are brought together. <3

That's badass. Everything about this is cool; the floor texture, the curvature caused by the fisheye, the composition. I absolutely love the toning, here. Masterful work.

The fisheye makes it seem so eerie, which is compounded by the green light. Spooky cool!

Amazing.... how did you get that "Grainy" effect? (because it looks totally awesome!)

Also, the way you captured the tiles... with the fish eye effect and just the lines of the subject matter, it looks almost hypnotic.

Splendid. Totally splendid!

Fisheye works really well with this shot. Black circle narrows in to a black atmosphere. The entire picture just screams of life! Good work here.
