Description
It's me
Gliding into the sun
Searching for peace
It's me
In the highest places
At the smallest hours
It's me
looking for any kind of warmth
Even if it's a cold industrial one
It's me
Saying goodbye to another day in my life
Holding on for one more night
Let there be light
*****
Herzelia beach, on the rocks over looking the beach.
I was enjoying the sun setting, but the frame needed something more to be really intresting.
I had an Idea to include the light post structure as a shilhouette infrong of the full sun.
I backed up running, not to miss the timing. I backed up to the driveway.
The sun was exactly at the right angle, and I was setting myself for the shot, when I was lucky enough to have a bird landing on the spotlight. Now, this was getting to be perfect.
I hope you enjoy the combination.
Please, watch the full view

Is the immediate color drop-off caused by the shutter speed or is the bottom half just dark because of a shadow?

I like this shot. Well mastered. This reminds me of a much treasured game, abes oddysee. More like an interactive movie of its time in terms of visuals and story but a brilliant game too, but it i dont know how to describe the reminicinse of the feeling i have attached to game and this, but i really like it

Very good, like all your photos. But suprisingly, I have something else to say. O_O
The sun looks.... just, way to bright. That or I'm just tired, but I don't really like the color. But I do like the color in the main background. And is that a leaf on the structure by the bird?
Lol, I'm not even over 15, and I haven't been doing photography for very long so what I'm saying could probably just be ignored. ^_^
But good, I enjoy all your photos.

Amazing work. Though my first thought upon seeing it was 'Guantanamo'. Conceptually, I mean.

I'm glad I stopped here a while longer. I had seen this photo many times on the frontpage and just though it was just a lamp in a hall, creating amazing colours. Nothing really special but a great photo. But I'm glad I did take a peek before deleting this from my message box. Thumbnails don't do justice. You did wonderful job with this one. The bird, it seems to have heard you coming and decided to help a little. And how the sun seems to be the source of power here. The blue shades it creates. Wonderful play of light and shadow. Great work.

Pretty. . . . The sun and the red make the black stand out from the rest of the photograph. Great job.

The light reminds me of the spotlight guarding a prison camp. I get a feeling of calm from the bird and the setting sun even though a prison camp would be anything but.

LOVE the color. I'm so surprised you didn't get a massive color shift in there with the light shining. This is beautiful though

how do you do it? either it's luck, patience, or your ability to control the environment around you
or maybe it's just seeing what the rest don't. here's another example of a scene that 99% of people would have overlooked. awesomeness!
