Description
If you want to join me
In a world of imagination
Take a dive into what you can't see
Into your imagination
If you want to see heaven
Look around you to see it
Anything you want, just imagine it
There will never be a dark cloud in your mind
There is no world
Like the world of imagination
Living there, you'll be free
All you got to do is simply decide to be
****
The shot is taken at Palmachim, close to the beach of Rishon LeZion, Israel. I was passing there when I noticed while driving that there is a small field of poppies there. I was taking some pictures there (a few minutes) when a religious family came to that small field and gave me the opportunity to mix nature with human nature.
The red blurry parts are out of focus red flowers I was shooting through to help get the "dreamy" effect.
Welcome to my world of imagination.

The effect is there but is very different cause you are using short tele (40mm) and that is not enough space and depth between you and the thing you trying to take the picture of. This means that what's blocking your angle is in almost the same ditance from you

Astounding! The red hues of the flowers (poppies?) are bold & vibrant. They really pop off the page and draw the viewer in. I like how you have included the human element in the scene but caught him such that he remains anonymous. Showing the human figure without showing us the face allows the viewer to inject/project themselves more readily into the scene. The viewer can then place themselves in the scene and thus the viewing becomes a 'personal experience'. The blurred flowers in the forefront do accomplish the dreamy feel; a reverie if you will. But it also invokes the idea of the brushstroke of a painting. The top left is in sharp focus and thus one can look at that as the highly detailed brushstrokes that show the realism aspect, the space ground in reality and static. This transitions into the lower right half which is not as detailed and blurred. I see this as the impressionistic brushstrokes that quickly capture mood and movement. It creates a dreamlike feel and movement to the photo. A very lovely capture. Well done.

A really beautiful effect, Gilad.
At first I thought you'd used a long exposure to get the blurry areas, but it would seem I was wrong on that.
Very nice.

interesting effect with the stark white against the soft red.. just the place we all wish to fly away to - using things we shouldn't use to get there, and then never actually arriving.
it made me think, therefor,
luvluv.

did you painted the ground with red? Because it doesn't look good and I think the retouch is overly done and noticeable.

Imagination is what keeps us strong but it can get lonely to live inside one's head...
I feel like running through that red field...

Every single color is in contrast with the other. Perfect. And the slightly melancholic or nostalgic tone (bended neck of the boy make the mood). Also perfect.
