Description
If you want to join me
In a world of imagination
Take a dive into what you can't see
Into your imagination

If you want to see heaven
Look around you to see it
Anything you want, just imagine it
There will never be a dark cloud in your mind

There is no world
Like the world of imagination
Living there, you'll be free
All you got to do is simply decide to be

****

The shot is taken at Palmachim, close to the beach of Rishon LeZion, Israel. I was passing there when I noticed while driving that there is a small field of poppies there. I was taking some pictures there (a few minutes) when a religious family came to that small field and gave me the opportunity to mix nature with human nature.
The red blurry parts are out of focus red flowers I was shooting through to help get the "dreamy" effect.

Welcome to my world of imagination.

Still one of my favorite shots, though. I love the diversity you have in your shots. Gorgeous stuff.

Must !

World of Imagination is different than "Pure Imagination", although Gilad has pretty much communicated the same idea. I like his words equally.

Somehow this picture feels painful. It reminds how great can be dreams. But you never can take them back with you. You just wakeup.

Very nice picture. Like others said the contrast between the red flowers and the white shirt. I have one problem though, the red flowers at the top are a bit oversaturated... they become great dots of red.. Otherwise great picture

Wow. The blurry "dreamy" effect that you were going for is absolutely amazing--I never thought of shooting "through" other objects to do that. Even better that they are the same color, since you're shooting through poppies, too. You are intensely creative, and pulled off this shot very well.

91stang [2007-04-27 13:00:11 +0000 UTC]

exceptional! I want to make sure I undersand clearly - the blurs are from dof focus through the flowers? how'd you make it so that they are transparent and not just a blur? I REALLY like this!

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

gilad In reply to 91stang [2007-04-27 13:56:15 +0000 UTC]

The lens is "blind" to things less then it's focus range and if there is enough space around them, it conpensates.
Like shooting through a bars of a cage when you're in a zoo

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

91stang In reply to gilad [2007-04-27 16:28:04 +0000 UTC]

It must be the "enough space around them" that does it - Mine have never been as good as yours. Thanks for the tip!
