The shot is taken at Palmachim, close to the beach of Rishon LeZion, Israel. I was passing there when I noticed while driving that there is a small field of poppies there. I was taking some pictures there (a few minutes) when a religious family came to that small field and gave me the opportunity to mix nature with human nature.
The red blurry parts are out of focus red flowers I was shooting through to help get the "dreamy" effect.

This is extraordinary!
I simply love the colors, the atmosphere, the contrasts, the pose, the focus and depth.
One thing I don't like though, is the red spots that is put all over the field.. that destroys a lot imo:/
But its still sick, and I'll fav it without doubt.

i think that poppies are beautiful. and i think that it's fitting that this has to do with imagination as poppies can be an opiate. and i don't mean in the weird drug way, but it makes you imagine things.
and it's, as always, lovely.

Anyway, this one has to be one of my favorites photos so far, the depth, the color, the effect you created with the out of focus flowers... simply amazing.

I see the kid has a kippa... I have one at home... of course I dont wear it because Im not jewish... I had a friend who went to Israel.
I like this photo, it gives me that feeling of tenderness and calm!

I noticed that red, dreamy effect right off the bat... and knew that you must have had some photography trick up your sleeve to get that effect.
