yay, finally done. its one of those projects that you start off with a good idea so i'm all like "yeah! i gotta do that" and then over the course of its completion you start running out of steam and you realize that the characters are the only thing you had planned...anyway, finally finished and off my workspace, now to do some less intricate pieces.
big thanks to , for their insight, and an honorable mention to yeah, that was part of my origional idea, but i had to scrap it.

i perfer spike x sweetiebell over spike x rarity for one reason AGE
dragons age alot slower then ponys (i'd estimate spike is about 10 yet he's still a baby dragon)
so by the time spike a teenager or young adult rarity would propably an old woman(or mare whatever)
so by getting a younger verson of rarity(sweetiebell) the problom with age is fixed (to a degree)
there are still isuses with age but at least it makes more sence, besides spikebell is a cuter couple
sorry for ranting i just needed to get that off my chest

This is the second comment I've seen saying Sweetie is to young for Spike. Maybe I'm being dumb but can you please explain that to me.
As far as I can tell based on how she acts Sweetie seems to be around 7 or 8 at the least, maybe older. Given that Twilight was around Sweetie's age when she hatched Spike, and that the main 6 seem to all be young adults, that would make Spike around 12.
How is a 12 year old hooking up with an 8 year old worse then a 12 year hooking up with what I'm guessing is a 21 year old?

Hmm did I say that? >_> Err yeah, I don't know why I'd say that. I'm pretty sure the distance in age isn't that far apart, I think Twilight was more around 6/7 when she got spike (she was a lot more skinnier and frail like a younger horse) as to where I think Sweetie Bell is like 10 or 11 cause she isn't really skinny or frail, and Spike is like 15 or 16, and I actually don't mind age differences within 10 years apart. Seeing as how I have a couple married friends like that, cause age doesn't really matter past a certain age, if you get what I mean, orz. Sorry. Bwah, the things I say sometimes and don't agree with a few months later. XD

It's no problem. I just found it really interesting that many people said Sweetie was to young when it seemed like the age difference between them wasn't all that much, and was wondering if I was miss interpreting what I thought the characters ages were. That's all.

I think you did a good job trying to figure it out, I do try to calculate the best I can.
I think she's just too young to be dating is all, but in the future they could become a couple.
Even though I still like Spike X Rarity, but whatever becomes most canon in the end is what I'll end up
going with cause I don't like going against canon pairings since that's how the creators wanted their couples to end up.

You're definitely right about her being to young to date.
And though I'd like Spike and Sweetie to become canon, I wouldn't mind at all if Spike and Rarity became the official parring, like you said it's the creator's decisions.
But even then I'd probably prefer Spike x Sweetie.
