Just a quick question: How exactly do you 'delete' the background? I cant figure it out to save my life :/

When I cut on gimp I just zoom up really close and start cutting around the whole horse. Wouldn't that be faster and have a better outcome? I don't use pen or eraser since I don't trust my hand to stay still.

Thanks, this helps a lot. I was just cutting it out with the lasso tool, and pasting it on to the background. I'll have to see if this works. I never really thought of doing it this way. It seems faster to...thanks!
