Description
This was part of a commission that I had actually finished two days ago for somebody on another website. Don't worry; I got paid.He asked for Sandy Cheeks, and I drew him a gijinka-style version of the brashful Texan putting on her underwater suit, because I told him I suck at drawing cartoon characters in their original style, which he was okay with. I didn't go for bulk, which was the direction of the style in the cartoon. However, I didn't want to go the furry route, either.
Now, I will admit that this piece misses the black and red lines that are on Sandy's arms.

I was going to say it doesn't look like something you'd usually do. Glad to hear you're getting some income out of your talents none the less.
Not sure what to say about her outfit as it was based upon someone else's design but I like the pose you've drawn her in. It's with her moving in the sort of forwards momentum divers usually need to properly walk along the seabed.

No, I normally don't draw stuff like this. I'm not a fan of SpongeBob SquarePants, but it's because I don't watch cable TV. I've watched a few episodes, and I consider them to be intellegently written, as opposed to generic brain-dead kid TV fare I have seen throughout the years.
Yeah, I'm getting some scratch from my talents, although I don't charge a whole lot because I still make mistakes and am nowhere near the perfection and design schematics like Giancarlo.
When I drew this piece, I wanted to depict her actually walking on the seabed with forward momentum and to also practice articulation posing. Otherwise known as "dynamic shots".

Even if you don't have very high prices it's still good to see that you can get customers even when competing with the others. It's a sign of progress after all isn't it?
Huh. Wouldn't have thought of suggesting that but it is good direction for you to take any development in. Do you have any ideas for other images with chatacters in movement?

Yeah, I'm very proud of the fact that I have gotten a few customers. It is a sign of progress.
Well... for images, I like to look at shots of people moving or other artists that have successfully rendered complicated poses. It's easier to use a reference then to think organically.

Thanks. The hard part for me was making Sandy humanized. In order to turn an anthro character human, you have to think about all sorts of details, while maintaining the integrity of the character.
The one that worried me was turning her into a character from "Arthur", but I was able to refrain from that.
