*saintfighteraqua is holding bi-weekly contests and I just wanted to try for this OC focused one. I decided to create an original Soul Fighter, aliased "Laser".

Hair color: black. (He has a beard too...)

Dislikes: Opponents who read his tactics easily. Humidity.

Personality: Thoughtful... often daydreaming... He is not a genius but he enjoys thinking of fight tactics. Although they are still very crude and basic, when he thinks of "a good one" he gets really excited to use it... and has to contain it behind a silly smirk. He doesn't talk much but that's just cuz he usually doesn't know what to say in a conversation.

Powers: Photon (laser) control.

Weapons: a short pocket knife.

Fighting info:

He can shoot photons in concentrated beams from his hands and feet. I suppose what he wears is a special material that allows this transmission, perhaps even amplifies it. His powers are very simple, but he uses them in clever ways... because he can control the photons, his beams do not have to be straight forward- he can bend them into various forms, typically whips.

Unlike most light energy users, he doesn't try to maintain shapes with the photons, for instance, holding a visible photon whip during battle. His fighting style is that of speed and surprise- so he stays calm and "unarmed" most of the time (the pocket knife is not used too often). When the opportunity arises he quickly uses laser attacks in short concentrated blasts or whipping arcs once he's in range and quickly returns to his "bare-handed" stance.

He favors close combat, but in long range battles he does enjoy sniping enemies with bending, snaking lasers that can approach from anywhere... though his control over the photons has a radius, and once beyond his powers, they spread out.

Together with the slashing form, he uses explosives in the form of tiny photon mines, visible as small glowing orbs. As he fights he can place them in the area of his control and they are linked to him by small invisible beams like a web. At his will the concentrated amounts of light energy explode.

As far as hand to hand goes, he isn't trained in any specific martial arts or military combat... he just fights how he sees fit.

His roughness and unpolished laser control skills keep him from getting beyond "Soul" status. He gets very nervous when trying out his tactics too, and hasn't successfully pulled them off as he sees in his head too often. Most embarrassing to him is that he is one of the oldest still in Soul status, as his peers are mostly teenagers.
