Aww, that's a shame. Well, you could always start a new account. Perhaps even pick up some pets from the pound to give them a better life

Umm... depends on how far we're talking. I guess you're aware of the customization and such. There's the new Battledome. There's just been a war. There's also a few new paintbrush colours.

Trying to put the date to the events... I take it pets already wore clothes then. Well, there's been some new lands discovered, a couple of cool plots happened, new games, various maps have been given an updated look. The site still works the same, just has more stuff. Oh, and now there's an Easter event going on.
Oh, and they've got quests for certain events now. Mostly involves finding the right map location to go with the clue you have. They're quite fun, if simple.
And there's also PetPet Park (don't remember when that was released). It's an isometric MMO-wannabe game. Looks very cutesy, but kinda neat. And you can access it with your regular Neopets account.

I stopped shortly after they opened the mall and made it so you had to spend real money to buy certain things. I had always said I'd stop once you had to start paying for it. I guess I was afraid that was going to happen.

Well, they've got the mall, but all it's about is sparkly clothes really. You can't re-sell them. It doesn't affect the game and the staff are committed to keeping it this way.
I happily throw money at them if I see something cool there and can afford a card at the time. But I enjoy the site quite a lot and I'm happy to support them.

When I got to college I didn't have as much time as I did in high school. I probably still don't have that much time anymore. Kind of sad because now it takes so long whenever I want to do something.

Yeah, I have a similar problem. Except in my case I always seem to have time to do nothing in particular, that sometimes being producing billions of sketches that never see the world as they're never finished... I always leave myself too little time to do what I actually need, then rush like hell to get that done last minute, often getting done more than I expected to a better finish than expected, but not as much as needed for to get the top mark or something, when I could have achieved that otherwise. And when I try to start a project at a sane time, my brain just goes blank... It's not even a time management problem, it's more a case of convincing myself that I want to do the stuff I need to do... Ah well... I do have stable creative plans, so once I get boring junk out of the way, I'm sure my life will get fun and productive. hehe

That's why I dunno if I could ever go to art school and enjoy it. I just like to draw/make things, but I don't like doing it for someone else or for a grade. (Ever since that teacher I had in middle school made me dislike art class anyway, haha). It is annoying, though, when I really want to do creative things but I can't because I don't have enough free time for it. That's why I feel bad when it takes me so long to do things.

Ohhh, those are so cool! I kinda wish Darigan pets were all left unconverted. Some look cool in the new style, some are too cute, some are just plain odd...

Yes, I liked Darigan before the conversion more. This is why I kept my Hissi unconverted.
I ...think... I got your letter. My life is a single big construction area at the moment. I'm pretty sure I got it. (It's a bit hard to keep track with 4 penpals and I didn't write any of them in weeks. BOO)
I check tonight and will reply then too. Maybe I keep it a bit shorter so you don't have to wait for so long.

The funny/ironic thing is, that the conversion happened just before I could afford a Darigan paint brush. I wanted an unconverted Aisha I think. Or was that a Buzz?(I loved the wasp-like look) Well, either way, I found the change a bit frustrating.
Ah, good to know about the letter. It's got a tiger on the back of the envelope. Just wanted to know it wasn't lost, not wanting to rush you or anything
