Description This is an assignment from school that caused me much pain and anguish and it's taken me a long time to like it again. It also helped me hate acrylics. I was experimenting with textures and i put too much on it. Some people liked it, some didn't. Everyone's liked the colors though. And the wolf. I now believe that the wolf could just blow the pigs' houses down.

As much as I resent the legends and fairytales that paint wolves in such an evil light- this is incredible!!! I love the detail on the fur, the eye and the lopsided background! Very cool!

(But no one answers)
Wolf: Little Pig, Little Pig Let Me Come In! (listens for answer but nothing) Ahem! Your supposed to say "NOT BY THE HAIR ON MY CHINNY-CHIN-CHIN!!

(My OC shown here [link] opens the door looking angry)
Vanessa: ARE YOU SUGGESTING, THAT I HAVE FACIAL HAIR FURBALL!?

Wolf: Eh, no I only meant...

Vanessa: HI-YA!!!
(She rams a mallet down on his head, and slams the door in his face.)

I never got a chance to peruuuse your gallery, but now I get to and I'm glad for it! All of you work is so great and interesting, and it all looks so purposeful... finished... defined..? I can't find the right words for it, but it is a good thing! It's all very strong and complete, even the line art.
That goes for this picture as well, it looks excellent! Even if it did give you lots of trouble, you were the one who won in the end!
My one and only critique I can come up with is that the right side looks very bright and daytime-ish, while the left looks as if it were in moonlight. But I guess that's well after the fact, huh?

This would scare me to death if I were a kid, but I really think this should develop into a children's book illustration.

The colors are so striking as everyone said, you did an excellent job with that, they enhance the striking composition you created. Perhaps they think the rougher texturing on the pig's house is distracting from the wolf.

Great piece, I love it.

Thank you very much. But the problem is the texture was the same on the entire picture, you just see it on the pig's house more because it's lighter, so there's no way i can fix it. I tried to get rid of the texture in PS, but it killed the colors and, well, sometimes PS is WAY overrated anyway. I only use it for flat colors and certain textures. Otherwise i feel like i'm cheating, in an obvious cop-out sort of way.

XD oh yeah I use PS most days, wonderful program, but it does have its limitations.

Oh I know, brushstrokes are wonderful and terrible at the same time because you have a hard time taking them back sometimes. I love texture so I am okay with it.

i like it. The colors came together pretty nice on the face with the glare of the light.
