Description HUGE ASS FILE ALERT
This is a 5000 x 5000 pixel file. I didn't want to resize it for fear of loss of quality. Please enjoy and download for highest quality.

How to make transparent images for dA using GIMP 2.6. I use Paint SAI for my lines but you can use any program to do that. This should work relatively well in photoshop, but I unfortunately don't have that program so I couldn't tell you myself.

Your image should come out like this when uploaded to dA:

No problem I forget what inspired this tutorial but I'm sure it had something to do with a friend being unsure how. It also works if you start out with a transparent canvas in the beginning, but that's often hard to colour so I just did it this way

This assumes you have all the layers. It's not that hard if you have the BG on a different layer.

Yeah I know. But a lot of people I know use multiple layers like I do..so I figured I'd just include that part for them. I usually have around 4 to 5 layers per piece

Ah, OK.
I usually have about 10 at a time, and overall about 30 if I didn't merge as I work. 0^0

XD I'm too paranoid to merge as I work..I'm surprised I don't have 30 layers as well
