Reminds me of the classic Old Masters style of painting. Except I learned that traditionally.

This method is completely new to me.
I'll have to try it, seems to produce really nice results. Your shading is great.

Oh thanks. And ummm keep this a secret but, this is actually the first time I used this method as well, but the results using whichever method I use are pretty much the same when it comes to simple paintings like this~

Great as always! I always color and then shade/highlight, but this way looks great too. I'll have to try it
