And the next more complex tutorial that was laying around for a longer time already. I'm not really satisfied with it and there have been more tutorials planned- showing you the stuff that need to be done next etc- but um.. dunno. Maybe later. If anyone want's that template, let me know, still not coded yet
The zip file is about 3MB big.
I've added:
- the walkthrough pdf (13 pages!)
- the original sized screenshots
Hope that this will help to understand of how to create a journal layout. But keep in mind: it's my way and just one way of doing it. Others might work different. It just should give you a feeling of what needs to be done in general.
I have to thank my beta readers, who took the time to hunt down my grammar/english mistakes and gave me hints where i should add some more stuff.

The images depend on the layout itself, not on the resolution. Because you always have to keep your watchers in mind as well, not everyone uses the same resolution as you do

Looks good, but the design you have choosen is too difficult to code if you just started with CSS
You should try to make something more simple. By using the tutorial you already have a feeling of how to work on the layout, but you should try something like [link] ,[link] or [link] first, because it is easier to code and will confuse you less then
The structure that will be needed for a layout like this is way too complex to start with.

Yes, some. I'm making a leopard-print journal, though right now I'm more worried about coding it. I'm doing this just to see if I can do it.

The first ones are always a bit difficult, but it will get easier with the time. Just don't make it too complex for a first journal
