At the moment I'm trying to colour them, but, honestly, don't know which version is better ))

I would love to see it coloured! I´m not really a Malfoy fan, but I know there are many out there!!!

Oh, I'm sooooo in love with them! Strange, but when I started to read HP, Snape was my favourite, but later I don't know what happened, suddenly I started to pay more attention to Lucius and to all the Malfoys, and they were so much like real people, with their good and bad sides, so family-oriented. They're really nice )
Well, Jason Isaacs is also great, indeed, and I can't completely deny he was partially a reason of my sudden sympathy )

hehe, I know what you mean. I didn´t go much for Snape at the beginning. I liked Harry, since we have a lot in common... and well, I also liked Lupin... but now... you can tell who I LOVE. We all have our favs!!! I know MANY friends who love Jason Isaacs!

Mm, I also liked Lupin. It was so sad to read about his destiny in the last book. JKR is a cruel woman!

Veronika-Art In reply to ginn-m [2007-08-25 17:05:40 +0000 UTC]

I really didn´t see how he died so I don´t feel pain for Lupin. Actually JKR only portrait few deaths in the book... and Snapes was the hardest to take for me... but well done. She is an amazing writer... and yes, I think cruel too, but amazing.

ginn-m In reply to Veronika-Art [2007-08-25 17:54:56 +0000 UTC]

oh, yes.. reading about Snape was quite a pain. I was expecting his death, tried to prepare myself. Silly girl ) When I reached the end of the 32nd chapter I burst in tears anyway, there are things which you can't be prepared for. Imagine, 3 a.m. everyone else is sleeping and me, trying hard not to sob too loud and the pillow wet with my tears )))
The most terrible is that his death was absolutely meaningless, useless... even stupid..

Veronika-Art In reply to ginn-m [2007-08-25 18:32:34 +0000 UTC]

Actually I used to think that his death had been pointless. It wasn´t. Harry didn´t see anyone else die (except Dobby). He didn´t see Lupin, Fred, Tonks... or the other 15 that died (yeah 20 is last count). The way he died, and why he died... his last words... were the most meaningfull in the story. Yes it was cruel, but if he had gotten a chance to fight ANYONE, he would have won. IT had to be in a trap... sadly in the shack where he almost died as a teen... Now Harry was still angry at him... I undestand why he didn´t help him... and was shocked by the attack on Snape. He didn´t know anything about Snape being good.

Now, think about it and the way Snape died had to be slow. It couldn´t have been AV curse, where you instantly die... and there had to be no cure.... I´ve read real hard reviews and I agree to some point, but the book is there, and we either accept how JKR wrote the ending or not.... I came to accept it ... and Harry´s son name is very important!

Yes, you're right! I do accept everything she wrote. Yes, I've changed my mind at last, but it took a lot of time and thinking. When you think about it without insane emotions, it looks different, but at that moment it was quite a shock. You know, everyone expected him to die somehow.. don't know.. heroically, for some really important reason. And that's why a felt disappointed and drained of every emotion, when I read about his death.
But now, after more than a month, I understand, that everything was right and made on purpose. And I do agree with you.
Btw, I don't know, whether your fandom is already infected with the same illness, but here a lot of people try to prove he's not dead and some of them even sound convincing, but I don't want another truth. And obviously I'm not eager even to discuss the matter. If I loved him a little bit less, if he wasn't so real for me, perhaps I would have fun trying different "he crawled away" theories, but I love him and I do not want to disturb his peace. We just have to accept, what's written.

Veronika-Art In reply to ginn-m [2007-08-25 19:58:03 +0000 UTC]

That´s right. I am glad we agree on that.. I love him too much too... but he is dead... hopefully hexing James and smooching Lily (lol)....

.. I do know he is in his "Hogwarts Portrait" in the headmasters office. But JKR said portraits are limited... I don´t know... he must be there, JKR said Harry would do it for him... and even then Rita Skeeter would still write about him ...lol

ginn-m In reply to Veronika-Art [2007-08-25 21:20:30 +0000 UTC]

Maybe he's not in his portrait, maybe he's having a rest somewhere far, far away. He really deserves it, doesn't he?

I thought JKR said the portrait wasn't in the office because Snape left the position of a headmaster prior to his death. However, I don't understand how one can leave his post by jumping out of the window ))) (Blimey, I so much want to draw Snape flying above the castle, but I'm afraid it would be too funny, because when I think of it and try to imagine, the picture is rather ridiculous ))

And the most sad thing about the seventh book is that the tale is over.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Veronika-Art In reply to ginn-m [2007-08-25 22:24:03 +0000 UTC]

Oh yes the saddest thing is that it is over... *sigh*

Wherever Snapes is he will always be in my heart... for sure! And about the drawing flying out the castle... I hate Mcgonagall for calling him a coward ... the bi%$/h... grrrrrrrr

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

ginn-m In reply to Veronika-Art [2007-08-26 05:06:21 +0000 UTC]

Well, we have to excuse McGonagall, she's not so bright as all the fans are, and she couldn't know Snape was good ))))

But I'd like to know what Snape was doing after his "short break" ) We see him jumping out of the window and then only after hours and hours in the shack with Voldemort. But where was he in the meantime, knowing Voldemort is after Harry...
The book is over, but there are so many questions left.

Oh I know.. JKR rushed it at the end. It´s her style and it´s ok, but I do wish she´d had more about Headmaster Snape... Oh well.... I guess we have to imagine it! Or bother to her (JKR) to death until she spits it out... btw take a look at illustrations and comics about his !! AMAZING!

I think bothering JK is sooo hopeless. We have had one life-chat with her already and where are our answers? nowhere ) She answered a lot of minor questions, cunningly avoiding the most important of them. Well, I can't blame her for this, she's trying to keep as agile and think. But it very strange feeling to know the truth will be concealed forever. When after the 6th book we were making up different theories about Snape and everything, we knew the the day would come when we would know for sure. But now we have nothing to wait for and therefore we're doomed to hesitate forever. She's really a genius and an excellent psychologist.

I've seen this gallery a few days ago, even faved some pieces. Really amazing!

I never go online to chat... I am usually busy and don´t like to keep people online waiting for me.

Oh, I am sure JKR will answer more stuff sooner of later... People will not leave her alone until she does. Sorry for chatting in you picture! You can of course hide all the comments!!!

Lily

PS I do go to WB from now and then to chat about HP... you can also chat in my journal... I love to discuss HP!!!

Chatting in my picture is ok, don't worry, it's not a problem at all. There are not so many HP fans around me in real life, so I'm absolutely delighted, when I meet someone with whom I can discuss different things regarding the books. And, moreover, if a person is not limited to "oh, sev is soooo sweeet, isn't he, isn't he, isn't he? *swoons*" )) I only hoped to find more convenient way for future conversations, but if you're busy we can perfectly go on this way.

I'm also quite busy all the time I'm on-line, so my friends had to get used to waiting for my answers for 10-15 minutes. Some of them even don't complain anymore ) I'm usually sitting with the tablet or a sheet of paper on my knees, drawing something, singing along some nice song and after an hour or so I can realize I forgot about all chat windows open )

Excuse me my stupidity, but what WB is?

Thanks for the link, perhaps I'll read it when I have more time, though I'm kinda afraid.. 52 pages in the thread!

Unfortunately, I've never been able to communicate normally in forums, I get lost in messages and discussions look a total mess to me )) the only exception is LJ, but maybe it's merely a matter of habit.

no problem I get lost myself or get burried inside threads! Since you asked... lol, wasn´t expecting you go to in there... it´s not fun at times... specially when people bad mouth Snape so much (specially after HBP). Even mature grown up adults couldn´t undestand me there... that is why I prefer it here! So you know where to find me!

If I have some vice, then it's definitely curiosity. And if I'm given a link I just can't but go and investigate )))) Especially, if it's somehow connected with Snape )))))

Speaking of adults, not always age comes along with wits. Sometimes people just don't try to think.
