Description These images are completely referenced from Persona 5 official artbook. I was trying to pick up some digital drawing techniques from the artbook XD

I really enjoyed painting with eraser on black (on the right guy's hair and clothes) and the loose style of the portrait on the right.

Also here from ProjectComment. I like the artstyle. I can tell that you've done Traditional Art before. However the necks are WAY too thin to be proportionate. And the shading that you did with the guy on the right looks incomplete, like the shading of where the neck meets the jacket looks a little bit too scribbled. The guy on the left is well done, but with the guy on the right, it's too hard to tell how the skin meets the jacket if you know what I mean. If there is wind blowing through his hair, you can tell that in the front, but not the back.

I hope my Critique helped you a lot. Have a nice day!

Here from projectcomment.
First off, this is an excellent work of eraser work. One thing I have always admired is the idea of starting with a solid color and eliminating it in spots to create an image. It is a different technique that not everyone tries or even likes but I love it! So, as a result, there is some bias here on my part.
Drawing from other images does tend to leech out originality from a piece, but there is purpose to it in this case. You're working on technique and using something you love to do so. Hence, while the source of your inspriation does put a dent in originality, that dent has purpose. And, from the look of this, you are indeed learning by doing what you're doing. Keep it up!
Overall this is a good piece that shows off your talent and versitility. I don't know a lot about the Persona franchise, so I can't say much about the character's themselves in realation to the orginal material. With that in mind, this piece looks great and that is what matters.

Goodness! I've seen the art for the new Persona game, and I've even looked through the art book, and I have to say, this is a complete and total mind blowing piece of work! The art style is identical and the lines are very neat in the first character's spot in the left corner there, and as for the inky-sketch one, it looks amazing! If I were mistaken, I'd believe I was looking at the actual game artist's art feed! The only thing I'd change a bit is the eyes for the inky one, and you absolutely do NOT have to do this, but when trying to make the picture look inky or sketchy, its okay for the eyes to be a little sketchy too. When they're all detailed, it has a slight style contrast to the rest of the sketch. It still looks nice, and a lot of people won't notice it. The drawing is very nice, and I really love it! You don't have to take my advice, because you did very well overall and it looks very authentic! Great job! I hope to see more artwork from you! e.deviantart.net/emoticons/b/b… " width="15" height="15" alt="" data-embed-type="emoticon" data-embed-id="366" title=" (Big Grin)"/>

Hi! c:

I’m from project comment and today I was browsing through the artworks and I saw yours and I thought I would give my opinion on what I like about it and what you should work on! First of all, the things I like about your artwork: I really like the black and white style of coloring you used , it looks very cool on both characters. You did a great job drawing each characters’s heads, necks and body. The shadows are well placed and drawn and their facial expressions are really nice. Everything in the face is very good and well drawn, you did a really great job at drawing the nose, eyes and mouth! I love the hair of both characters. The anatomy of each character is perfect, it looks like a real manga artist did it so it looks very very good! c: In short, this artwork is reallllly well made! Now the things I don’t like and I think you should improve on for the future. So in my opinion, there is only one thing you should improve on: your lineart. The lineart looks a little shaky and the coloring goes out of the lines if you understand what I mean. It makes the coat of the boy on the right look a little weird. Also just a little thing that I don’t like is the outline of the top left black box. The lines aren’t straight, thats all for what I don’t like. Finally, I think your artwork is awesome so keep up the great work! There is only one thing you need to work on: The lineart. I hope this helps you c:
