This Borderlands Jakobs Law display prop came about many moons ago via a commission request. Sadly the person who originally commissioned it disappeared and I couldn’t contact them. Anyway it has sat in my workshop for months, half done staring at me, so I figured it was time to put this Borderlands baby to bed. From memory the original brief said it was to be a variant of the Borderlands Law pistol (inset), for display only. For this reason I designed and made the gun a Borderlands themed display base and I think it really adds to it.More at my blog:

Everything about this is incredible! I love the paintwork, but the transformation from Nerf maverick -> Borderlands Jakobs revolver is even more amazing. Love the use of re-purposed stock accessory for the sight and the priming handle/grip from the Lanard/Air zone pistol.

Wow your stuff is sooo good. BL1/2 is my all time favourite game and I love making props from it. But what you do is beyond anything I'll ever make. I'd buy them all if I was the kind of person who could afford to buy things. I'll have to settle for the buckets of inspiration I get from looking at your work. Keep it up!

I don't remember, it was a Chinese ripoff of the Maverick. I chose it because it wasn't a Maverick.
