You walked closer to the group of cheerleaders practicing on the field.

‘I’m not particularly happy about this, we’re a girls only squad. But since there’s no other team for you to join, I guess I’m not mean enough to say no and have you lose your scholarship.'

You’d been dropped from the football team after a couple of bad practices and were desperate to keep playing sports so you could still have your full ride. When coach suggested cheerleading you weren’t too happy but you were strong, athletic and there’s worse things than hanging out with girls all day. You wonder if you all get changed in the same locker room.

‘Here’ she says, thrusting a folded-up uniform into your hands. You open it out to see a crop top, skirt and bright red hair bow.

‘Why do you look so surprised? I told you we’re a girls only squad. Now, get to the locker room, shave off all that ugly body hair and get dressed. I’ll do your makeup and hair before the game tonight but for now you have a lot of routines to learn!’
