i didn't plan this initially. it all started when i just wanted to make a cover for my ugly, cheap notepad. i'm using the yellow one, with animals being stacked on one another. then a friend of mine saw it and kept looking at it now and then ... tried to smuggle it several times when i wasn't looking too (in a good humor of course).tomorrow (14th feb) is her birthday and i decided she should have her own notepad so she can stop trying to take mine
she once asked specifically for a cat beating a turtle picture, but i'm against animal violence so i just made them pretty and girlie. hope she likes it *fingers crossed.
size of notepad: A5
lineart: COPIC black ink 0.05
color: COPIC (warm gray no.5, smoky blue, and lapis lazuli)

i skipped lunches and made some sacrifices to buy them.
i couldn't afford much, so i usually pick up colors that suits my drawings. actually i probably use around 10-15 colors. don't really have the money to buy the whole set

i finished using that notebook unfortunately -_-;
i made the drawing after starting using the notebook, so right now the condition is pretty much dirty and ... 'vintage'

Look at how smooth that is! The lines are amazing and the detail! *dies* I just adore this so much! It's so stylized and utterly fantastic. I am amazed at the effort you took just for a notebook.

the original size of the notebook is about A5, so the drawing is not exactly big.
actually i didn't plan to draw such thing on the (cheap, ugly) notebook, but somehow the doodling turned out to be good and begged to be finished.

yup, COPIC has liners. my favorite is the 0.05 but it's only suitable on smooth paper.
i usually use any black pen available, but for this one i just have to use COPIC liners. they're waterproof and COPIC proof, so the black line won't run into the COPIC marker ^^ awesome stuff!

i happened to find drawing on small paper easier somehow. i can't really draw on A3 size -_-;

do whatever you like with them. i think they are also printable at A4 or A3 size (don't really remember, but pretty sure they can be printed at A4 size)

personally, i find it easier to make small decorative pic rather than big ones.
lately i've been obsessed with drawing cartooney animals, so ... i don't know, they work well with notepads ^^

hmm, your theory on elephant is really interesting. i never really plan the design, so the elephant being on top was just ... impulsive decision.

some friends promised to help me sell them if i can make the drawing in mass production. i'm working on it (currently on delay)
