Huh, with a bit of Photoshop magic this went from 'oh my god I should be ashamed of myself' to actually looking quite nice. I love Photoshop <3Watercolours and colured pencil on brushed inks. Touch ups in PS and a texture from.. Hibbary I think.

I know the "make backgrounds too dark" part; I do it all the time
I find it fun nevertheless, because it's so difficult to control
