Description Acting Magnus Optimus Prime commissions the Axalon, a top secret Elite Guard exploration vessel with orders to track down the technorganics Blackarachnia and Waspinator, with the hope that the pair might be cured. There's just one catch. With most of the Autobot forces busy hunting down the remaining Decepticon cells left after Megatron's defeat, the mission commander, a bot known only as Primal, must choose his crew from a pool of misfits and washouts looking for one last chance to prove themselves...

You know Tigertron(unit 02) and airrazor were in a different ship right? Oh, and rattrap was a miner. Cool models tho.

This isn't Dawn of Future's Past, it's Beast Wars Animated! About the only canon to work with is that Rattletrap was a stoolie, as seen in "This is Why I Hate Machines". Everything else I adapted to suit. Of course, all of that's explained thoroughly on the individual character's pages, the links to which are in the description above.

Here's an idea on how they crashed the planet's atmosphere is too think therefore when the axalon was moving in because the picked up techno organic signatures on the planet they got pulled in and the stress from the initial escape attempt blew up the engines next thing they know their "Going Down" FYI thats also how DC and SB got there

I can appreciate the amount of work that it took to create these figures and grateful that someone has finally done so.

But, I must admit, I do very much miss the Beast Wars series...especially Dinobot's raptor mode.

Regardless of that, great job!

Hey, go for it! Let's face it, reinventing characters I don't own for another property which I also don't own gives me pretty dubious claim to these guys. All I ask is that any use of the custom figures themselves gets credited to me. Heh, I guess you could also point folks who enjoy this sort of thing back here to check them out, too!

Like the weapon you gave Dynobot, Primal's weapon... eh, not so much. Seems too Cloud-y.

Gizmo-Tracer In reply to Yamatonix11 [2009-08-14 19:29:00 +0000 UTC]

Pfft, Cloud. The twit uses a giant sword and all of the sudden nobody else is allowed to. I'd say over-sized melee weapons are part of the Animated aesthetic. Optimus' axe, Grimlock's sword, Ultra Magnus' hammer... anybody in a position of leadership got a massive beatstick. Even with the Decepticon's preference for ranged weaponry, Megatron still had those huge propeller-blade swords.

Yamatonix11 In reply to Gizmo-Tracer [2009-08-14 20:58:21 +0000 UTC]

Maybe it's just... TOO oversized, still, y'know? I mean, yeah, Primal's kukkiri blades weren't small, but they weren't two-handed-sword sized either. *shrug*

Right, I shouldn't say Cloud, I meant Bleach. Sorry, heh.

I'm just giving constructive criticism, heh. I mean, they're great. That's the only thing that really stands out to me.

Gizmo-Tracer In reply to Yamatonix11 [2009-08-14 21:21:32 +0000 UTC]

Well, for the sake of argument, the sword is based (loosely) on the zhǎn mǎ dāo, a Chinese two-handed anti-cavalry weapon. It's actually in proportion to Primal's size; the real version is just that huge!

There's no shortage of giant-sword wielders, certainly. That's because it's taking something that is awesome, i.e. a sword, then giving you more of it! It's a well tested method of awesome-enhancement; Mothra, the Big Gulp, many roadside attractions... the list goes on.

Feedback is always welcome, of course!

Fair enough.

Still a good figure. Have you found a weapon for Rattletrap to use?

He's got a flip-out gatling gun in his chest, courtesy of the Swindle-mold. Plus, y'know, GIANT HANDS. ...of doom.
