Description
Now my Axalon Crew has someone to fight!But wait! Where's Megatron? Patience! All shall be revealed in due time. Which won't be for a while, unfortunately, since I have the final year of my degree rapidly approaching. The wait will just make it all the sweeter!
You can see the individual posters for the custom figures in my gallery, along with their bios (and an explanation of Scorponok and Tarantulas' ...condition).
I didn't bother with posters for the unaltered Blackarachnia or Waspinator, but for the sake of argument, Blackarachnia "has a dangerous obsession", and Waspinator, of course, "has plans".

I am interested in seeing what else you'll do with your custom figures. I'm really curious If you're going to use a Megatron or Grimlock figure for BW megs.

I like the idea of Tarantulus and Scorponok being clones. But i prefer them being guys personally, Starscream made Slipstream (fembot Starscream)so why not make Blackarachnia create Tarantulus the same way?

I detail this a bit in their individual bios, but it boils down to two reasons, one practical and one concerning the overall story.
First, having resolved to create Scorponok and Tarantulas using the Blackarachnia toy as a base, I had a choice to make. The mold is distinctly feminine, and working against that would have produced sub-par results. If it comes down to making a figure better resemble the original character or making it aesthetically pleasing in its own right, I will almost always go with the latter. These are, after all, re-imaginings.
A short aside: while the original Blackarachnia added an unrepentant and unpredictable element to the Predacon team, her TFA incarnation is focused far more on being a tragic figure. To illustrate the point, consider that while the original experimented on herself to gain a Transmetal 2 body, the more recent version experimented on others to rid herself of an arguably more powerful form.
I bring this up because I wanted a character on my team of scum and villainy who could fill the same roll as BW Blackarachnia. While the Seekers embodying different aspects of Starscream's personality was primarily used to comic effect, TFA Blackarachnia is way too self-involved not to obsess over what her clones say about her. Tarantulas, then, becomes who Blackarachnia would be as a true Decepticon, without all of the emotional baggage. It's a pretty scary thought. Skewing the clones closer to their creator's appearance helps emphasize that visually.
(Scorponok, as I've mentioned, in governed by Blackarachnia's bestial side, making her another disturbing reminder for the Predacon Queen. Say, didn't the bios say that the experiment used three stasis pods...? Eh, it was probably just destroyed in the explosion, right?)
While my Scorponok and Tarantulas are not their BW selves any more than the bulk of Animated's cast are their G1 selves, their personalities remain largely unaltered. Scorponok is still a violent, gleeful bruiser and Tarantulas is still a scheming, cackling mad scientist. Their genders are frankly of secondary concern.
Besides, could a guy pull off that ponytail of doom? I don't think so.
