No. No freaking way. No mere mortal can draw something so epically awesome.

Not to jump to conclusions or anything, but I think you might be the second coming.

You're definitely better at drawing with pencil than painting digitally, but you're getting there! I see you have great potential in digital coloring. There are two mistakes you made. One that was already pointed out (regarding the visible yellow areas on top of the blue) which was possibly your monitor settings to blame, and the other is that you're not quite logical in handling the colors with the light source. Since the light comes from the left, the yellows (and white highlights) should be on that side, and the blues and purples on the right side. The arms should be silver on the right, perhaps with a bit of blue or purple in the mix, and yellow on the left side with white as the strong highlights. Also the colors on the claw in the front are blurred out. Since the claw is so close it would really make it better if you bring more details in the coloring. The linework is full of details so the coloring should fit that.

But as I said, I can see great potential so if you keep these things in mind next time you color one of your amazing drawings, the end result will look just as impressive if not more impressive than your original pencil drawing alone.

I thought you'd just stuck a real picture of him over a stupid gradient background.

You should lose that, it takes more from the pictures than it adds to it.

I really like where you went with coloring this, it adds a whole new flavor to the piece, and makes it an original work. I really like how the arms get white light from the top, but golden light from the bottom, creates a really neat effect. I also really like where you went with coloring the closest claw, the smooth transition between colors. The only thing that has me kinda off, is that on the jacket, below his bottom left octo-arm, there are some chunks of purple. At least on my screen, where the purple ends and the yellow begins is pretty visible, but it doesn't look intentional...making those areas kinda look like a weird purple camouflage or something, which I don't /think/ is what you were going for (I say this because the "pattern" isn't seen anywhere above the bottom-left arm, so I would think if you meant to do it, it would be seen in other portions of jacket too). My guess is that its supposed to be some cool shading? Especially since its primarily in the darker areas, and the edges are over nearly "black" parts of the jacket's shading, which makes me think that on your screen, the edges just disappeared into the blackness without seeming like hard edges. I only point this out as a technical feature: you coloring scheme is awesome, I find it draws the attention to all the right places. Good work.

looks pretty good man, I still like the oncolored one better though, but that's in my own bias opinion that all pictures look better uncolored

There is an incredibly complex level of detail in your coloring here and your skill in value and shade is impecable, but I maintain that your original graphite drawing transcends this one in its artistic lucidity and beauty. Firstly, the amount of cold artistic prowess commanded in your use of graphite is astounding to the visual senses, but more importantly the stark contrasts and emotions conveyed through the figure of whom before I classified simply as a comic book villian create the manifestation of true art. Through only the greys and silvers of your pencils, that you display more detail and feeling than you do with the entire spectrum of colors at your disposal as you do in this version, marking your graphite Dr. Octavious drawing as truly the more beautiful of the two. This piece is epctacular either way though, congratulations.

Incredible. O.O

The fact that you managed to color the intense detail of the original picture astounds me.
