Description
Yup, just feeling experimental again. As usual this was rendered in Apophysis, 3d hack, and post processed in GIMP.Let me know what you think!
Oh, needless to say, this isn't the next image in the Subterra series. I'll still get around to it though!

It's a very interesting mix! It looks more like a modern art painting than something out of Apo. Quite nice.

This could pass for vector art. The overall appearance is very deliberate and clean. The centeredness of it vertically goes well with the staticness of the whole layout, though it's still rendered interesting by being enough off that it's noticeable. The colors are great, and I like how the small circle on the right is greenish/yellowish while the rest is black and blue.
Only thing I'd like changed if it's at all possible is that lumpy thing in the middle of the left circle. Make it circular, or else possibly lumpier. I'd have to see it, really.
Seriously, this is one of the awesomest fractals evar.

Thanks for your thoughts! I agree it would be better if the center circle, but, try as I might, I couldn't get it to happen without fundamentally changing the image . The variation that causes it is the same that causes the refraction effect in the circle.
I really appreciate your comment. Thanks!
