The assassin crouched carefully behind a bulkhead. The heavy guard and secretary meant she was close to her goal. The guard and secretary were exchanging credentials. A useful distraction as she brought up the crossbow to her left shoulder. Her instructor had drilled her on the use of any weapon on either side. It seemed obvious to her, but the instructor told stories of prior assassins failing on exactly this point. Preparation for any contingency was crucial. The guard reached for the identity card. The right arm forward opened the perfect target window through the chest. Right through the heart.Related content

The crossbow is an autoload so refire rate is high. OTOH, you are absolutely correct take out the more dangerous target first.Β
