The secretary had spent thirty minutes putting her hair up. She wanted to look perfect. Her appointment with the director was to be epic. She had much good news to report. The mines on Cignus were producing 126.7 percent of expectations. Maintenance on the digging equipment was well within spec. There had been no attacks from SLA Corp. So there had been no expensive personnel replacements. Even better, the price of ore was up. She had no doubt she would be rewarded in a most pleasurable way after her report. Even so, she arrived 10 minutes early. The blond guard was known for her officiousness. Checking the credential was a formality. The base was small. Still the secretary knew the guard was a stickler for detail. There was another delightful possibility. The guard would rotate off her shift in a few hours. "Secretary reporting as ordered", she said. The blond reached out and replied, "I'll just check your identity". Something in the guard's voice emboldened the secretary. With a slight flutter of the eyes, a warm smile and a soft voice she returned, "Is that the only thing you want to check out?" The brunette pulled her shoulders back to accentuate her chest.
