You got it. Yes, a shader applied to the skin. The problem with G3 is that the torso extends well above the neck along the back. Fortunately the hair usually covers the back of the neck. I worked on the shader for a long time to get the right reflections. I started with a shader built up from "Morphing Pantyhose for Genesis 3". It took a bit of work to find the right combinations to get the shimmer where I wanted it. Emissive surfaces are handled differently to regular lights, so the balance of factors is tricky.
Applying the shader directly to the skin keeps the geometry of the musculature and is sexy as hell.
