This commission belongs to as another entry in my "Fight For Freedom" series! In a one-night-only special event at the New Mobotroplis Coliseum, we have the climactic battle at the end of the Iron Dominion's invasion in Sonic #211! Aqua-Angel170 wanted Geoffrey St. John and Bride of the Conquering Storm facing off in the foreground, with other heroes fighting for freedom in the background. Huge battles like this are tough to paint, but very rewarding in the end. And now... llllllllllllet's get ready to rumbllllllllllle!!!

Damn, Glitch! I turn around for five minutes and you conjure yet another captivating masterpiece right under my nose! I love how the ensuing chaos is further emphasized by both the concept of a captive audience (both figuratively and literally) and the sort of ambiance that a high-res snapshot photo seems to capture in spades.
The color schemes and gradients are fleshed out perfectly, each recognizable face is distinctive and doesn't look condensed, and the light effects that accent motion, explosions and whatnot are the precise clarity they need to be without becoming distracting details that take away from the experience -- giving the still scene ample expression of life, duress, distinctive sides of who's who - basically a pretty picture of organically fleshed organized chaos.
Geoff and Storm being the central highlight does not distract from the fact that there is more than one bout unfurling and only enhances the experience.
It also makes the scene round off with Sonic 1-on-1'ing Regina doesn't hog all the glory but still maintains a subtle but commanding presence in the madness, which helps to not make Sonic out as a literal glory hog and still get the job done as his usual self.
I cannot see any distinctive deterrent or demerit to call to attention.
You have completely mesmerized and captivated me, Glitch, just like the Kingdom of Acorn's citizenry watching on as their fates rest in the hands of those players on the stage of conflict.

Well, at least the aesthetic of the Iron Dominion Arc has been preserved by Freedom Planet. That's one less feeling we have to mourn with the cancellation.

Man, I miss the story arc about the Dragon Kingdom. I miss it a lot.

The Dragon Kingdom was one of the better aspects of Mobius, since it fleshed out the world with an oriental culture. Unfortunately, it was practically all lost after the reboot, with only Bride of the Conquering Storm left all on her lonesome.

I loved Espio having a poper backstory and conflicting motivations, too. It made him a much more compelling character.

I gotta say Geoffrey St. John is one many favorite characters of mine I liked and still do like from the comics, even though he was some what of a so and so with Sonic, but at the same he had his good points, plus his style and attitude was one of the things I liked, and I gotta say you have done this scene perfectly, it looks like it could of tooken a long while to make, specially drawing each character and how they are all done is just perfect, I really love the way this is coloured, the poses, the effects, just everything is so amazing.

All who asks about NICOLE: She could have been in this picture, but I thought that then there would be too much of characters. I especially wanted Conquering Storm to be in this picture because there wasn't enough of her in the comics. This is my opinion of course. She's also one of my favourite characters.
