Unless you know someone over there that could pretend they are you and meet the editor for you, they could tell the editor what you want to say and see if that works. Bit of a sneaky move I know but if it works then great. I don't know why that are being difficult I have done work via e-mail for people with no trouble at all so I don't see why they would not be happy to commission you.

What did they say when you approached them?
Just that they don't hire Europeans?

If I was overseeing Archie comics I would hire you right away.
I've spotted the talent you have and it deserves to get out there more.

It's a shame if that door (Archie Comics)  is shut for you as they are already established and could and should have you as part of the team.

Thinking about it though I also know a writer of Sonic fanfiction who would like to have his work published some day and says he knows a couple of people that work for Sega. His stories are aimed at an older audience. Have a read of this chapter (see link below)

Read that and see if you like it. He has written quite a bit now.
Maybe the two of you could team up and create your own comic some day. (Again I don't what Sega connections this person has its just that he said he knows someone that works for them). You never know if there is a chance for you it could be worth getting in touch with him.

Other than that all I have as a connection Is Ken Penders, He is also writing the Lara-Su Chronicles right now so illustration work for that might be an option (I've not asked him if he would consider letting anyone do the illustrations for it this is just a guess).

But for now have a read of Miles-Depth's works and chat to him I hope you find a mainstream way of getting your excellent talent published.

It's kind of a long story. I first suspected Archie's hiring policy even before I applied. When I sent them my application a couple of years ago, I got no reply whatsoever. No acknowledgement, no advice, nothing. Then I read about MrEgaku's account of being recently hired by Archie where he met Paul Kaminski in person at SDCC, and I realized I was doing it all wrong. MrEgaku also stated that pencilled pages need to be sent back to Archie for ownership, so I doubt they'll be willing to hire someone who draws digitally from overseas. It could lead to complications. Another artist from Belgium also drew and sent five pages to Archie in preparation for the Sonic Boom comic, and he got no reply either. The fact that Archie is outright ignoring European artists pretty much kills any chance I have of working for them.

I don't currently know anyone else I can suggest, did you have a read of Miles-Depth's works and a chat to him? You could send Archie a selection of your latest works one more time and just see if you get a response this time. I'll keep you in mind and if I do make a useful contact then I will pass details onto you.
