Be careful when crossing the bridge in Giantland.===============
While I like the way the lighting turned out in this scene, I just hate the render times...

Reminds me of the bridge from the Hundred Acre Wood.
The boy looks like he stopped to warn them about the Heffalumps and Woozles that prowl the woods, and guzzle up the yummy things you like, if you aren't aware of them, accidentally picking them up before he realized his mistake, not having much contact with humans, and promptly apologizing and telling them that he was actually trying to catch some, with a trap he was making.

He looks friendly enough but the three tinies are scared and that probably isn't the best was to pick someone up!
This picture is amazing, it has so much activity! The bridge is so detailed and you can tell what the tinies are doing/thinking! The one on the bridge looks like he's getting ready for bolt, the one hiding looks like he's wondering if he should stay put or sneak away... We can all guess what the poor boy that's been grabbed is thinking >w<

Very interesting facial expression on the giant boy - postures and hiding of the littles renders the idea very well: the gentle giant does not look so gentle to little people.

nice render. I find that removing or hiding the hair when using uber lights greatly increases the speed of the render. what would take 5 hours can now be done in less then 30 min.

Yeah, I should try rendering complex scenes in multiple passes and see how it goes. Waiting tens of hours for a single render to complete is frustrating

yes it is and I learned that the hard way. one render took 22 hours and when I tired it w/o the hair it was finished in minuets. Made a believer out of me.
