I'm not completely satisfied with it because:1. I screwed up my jaw/chin area.
2. My eyes are too big.
3. My lips are too small.
And a few other reasons.
So, this is me. Sort of.

I have no idea why I though you were blonde. Maybe your name. sort of sounds like Gloria, which is sort of a ...blonde name???
No idea. I also assumed you were a girl, and white, both of which may or may not have been true, right?
I suppose my Mary-sue gave me away, but did you have a 'mental' image of me??

I had a mental image of your personality, which I see as spunky and fun, but not really of your appearance. I don't think. I don't know, even like when reading books I don't visualize the characters very much (you'd think someone who draws would), and am always surprised to see other's visual interpretations. 
Oh, and to give you credit, the name is from Tolkien, and to an extent means tall, fair-haired woman. If it actually applied to me (two out three ain't bad...) you would have been correct!
But you're right, we make so many assumptions and generalizations about people. It's funny the way our brains work without us noticing.
