A hippogryph is generally depicted like a griffon, but the lion half is a horse. Β Or a horse's body with the talons, wings and head of an eagle.

I believe he's a pony equivalent of a sphinxΒ due to the Lion body, bird wings, and pony head. But that's just a theory, a pony theory! (I guess? lol IDK.)
