I think the context is just that Derpy works for the Lunar Republic (obviously). The sun is setting, maybe permanently, perhaps Celestia had to die for the Lunar Republic... And if you look to the left, you see the website where we overanazlyze a children's cartoon!

Woah, I wasn't trying to flak you, bro. I'm not singling you out, just commenting on the overall idea a lot of people have of putting Luna in charge: it's a terrible idea. Luna is badly out of practice and out of date with both politics and general social behavior. Plus it had been previously implied that Celestia was the ONLY one who could control the sun, but that has since been invalidated. Even if Celestia was a tyrant, she's a tyrant who keeps the populace alive and healthy
