And so Twilight finally realized that spike was getting too big for his little basket and decided to spring for a real bed, nice shelf, and a lamp...
I don't know why but its fun to think of the events that happened leading up to this point. like why spike would need a full bed, finally finding a series of books he likes, and develop a taste for reading. I feel like there is a story behind everything in this piece, the figure on his night stand, the space ship, the blimp. Way cool there is a bunch of stuff to look at without feeling cluttered.

The lighting and the colors in this are really good. The light and shadow on Spike's head and limbs really reinforce their shapes. How did you learn to shade correctly? I can't make shadows look good on complex shapes and all the tutorials I find just talk about really basic stuff like a single sphere or something.
