My first stamp. Because sometimes art school doesn't happen.( and other times art class can't be tolerated. X3 )

Wow, this got a lot of faves/views! Now That I look back on it, it's an ugly stamp. xD I think there are prettier self taught stamps out there now. I should really update this thing. =O

Im Saying that Self Taught artists are just as good as Artists who took art lessons.
Im saying that just because a person is self taught, doesnt mean it makes them any better than someone who was taught before

Okay, I guess I didn't understand your point here, I thought you were saying that people who are taught art in school are better than self-taught artists. I've been drawing on my own since I was able to pick up and grasp a pencil.
I hope we can be on somewhat a same level on this matter, and even if not, to not completely butt-heads, lol

To be a true artist,you have to have compassion and confidence in yourself......they don't teach you that in art school

I go to OCSA, and compassion and confidence is all they teach. And you wouldn't know that unless you actually take art classes.

I'm self taught, sadly, I have a know-it-all friend who thinks she knows EVERYTHING about art just because she takes art lessons. I don't mean to brag but my drawings are a bit better than hers...

I learned how to draw on my own. Everyone asks me if I take art classes and I say no. I mean, I have art class in school, but they don't teach us how to draw. It's more of like "artsy" projects.

love the stamp. it really anoys me when this one person in my class thinks they are better than me because ONE art class. when I get the higher art grades they go all " uh, where did you learn how to draw stuff like that" and I reply " dude, im self taught"

I have this girl in my class who thinks she's better than everyone. And I don't mean any offence to her but her drawings are um quite wobbly,messy, and not very good. And then she tried taking an art class and she never got better.

There's an annoying boy in my class who always takes my stuff and cheats off me (when I catch him I stop him). And today he asked me where I learned to draw and I was like 'Self Taught" Artist. And this is a very pretty stamp.

There's a girl in my class who loves learning and does it for a living. She does a lot of art where I only draw and never listen/go to art classes and people say I'm still better than her.
