Definitely sad when they died. With their past explained I felt most hatred for both melt away. Though I feel like they might have Tarrlock or Noatok come back perhaps. Highly unlikely but hey you never know after all Korra managed to get her bending and everyone elses bending back

I think I'm one of the few who doesn't think they died. We saw an explosion, which IMPLIED death, but we never actually saw them die. Plus, since Amon waterbends, he could have escaped if he wanted.

I think he's dead. Right before the blast, you see him shed a tear and looking ahead sadly. To me, this showed that he knew things could never go back to the way things were , and his accepting what his brother was about to do But is possible they survived the blast...

what's that sound? oh yeah, the sound of my heart breaking...this scene and the final one where they took their lives really get to me. Never thought a cartoon other than the original ATLA could do that.
