Description
In the opening stages of the war, skirmishes and small scale battles littered the territory of the dark marches after the Azen withdrawal. Generally resolved by fighter combat as they hunt down each other's forward scouting groups.It was within the first few skirmishes where some fighter Aces and ships would make small names for themselves and start standing out above the rest on both sides.

That's lotta red light. But If the pilot have full helm and presumably all the data shown off by said helm hud why all those gauges and screens in awkward position?

I am really curious as to what type of weapon could slice a ship in half like that? That's some terrifying destructive power right there.
Also, is the "window" of the cockpit an actual window or is it a projection?

It's a small ship. Corvettes in this are like tinfoil compared to heavier weapons, though I'd say a missile of some sort.
It's not a window, I dropped those after the initial concept phase, they're deep inside the fighter. That's just an internal projection

If I have to guess for the weapon, massive railgun impact at stupid high velocities. That's a common thing in this setting is railguns, but plasma weapons also exist as I recall. Could have been that?
