Description
There is no alternative. Those who defy the Empire will end up under it's heel in time.
--------------------------------
"The Terrans sit idly by in their nation's borders. They're smart. That way they didn't overstay their welcome in the free colonies after they stole them from us. That way they'd be seen as liberators and not an oppressive regime that patrols the FCZ like police. But it's also their weakness. Their unwillingness to militarily intervene will be our gain. We will reclaim territories stolen from us after the first war, and when they finally put their foot down it will be far too late. The age of reclamation is upon us. All hail the Empire!" - Azen Grand Admiral Yang
--------------------------------
The Azen (Xenos) Empire has one motive. To unite the Free colonies under it's banner. Humanity has proven incompetent and incapable of governing itself. It needs one singular mind to lead it. Emperor Xian Feng is that man.
Before the Xenos Retreated behind it's borders, and closed it's territory off due to political and military backlash from both the Confederacy and Terran Federation, the Xenos Empire made numerous short, quick land grabs on Territories it once lost after the first Xeno-Terran war. Many nations were still Loyal to the Empire. But some, under the leadership of a Terran puppet regime needed extra... convincing. By ways of force.
Sometimes diplomacy is best resolved by means of many many warships, and lots of Firepower.
-------------------------------
2 cruisers and a bunch of corvettes firing on an enemy fleet of the free colonies. Their outdated vessels are no match for the advanced naval might of the Empire.
the Azen Empire:
Been a while since I drew ships. Was a little rusty so I asked for some pointers

Xenon ships destroing space debris(free colonies ships). Clean up the space is their mission...

Sooner or later all will be reclaimed and the Empire will be restored.

You're right. They'd last way longer than that

so what's the range of the plasma cannons?

plasma in space wouldn't go very far without dispersing and/or cooling unless it has a stable magnetizing pull to keep it's shape. For space combat it's a kind of pointless weapon unless you were pulled up like right next to the enemy ship.
Missiles, Gauss Canons, and Railguns are more efficient as a singular object isn't going to fall apart, and an object in motion stays in motion in space. With that being said theoretically the canons on the vessels have an infinite range. Not to mention a missile can be guided in.

Gauss guns and railguns aren't the same thing?

Gauss Uses coils, and it's basically a coilgun just named differently, a railgun uses 2 high powered magnets or something like that, they're basically the same principle on how they work though from my understanding

I think you can get away with more than 2 rails for railguns actually. You just need a pair, for the positive/negative magnetic field generation. 4,6,8 rails might be possible?
Who knows. Could lead to some interesting turret designs for sure. I've only ever seen the two rail designs, myself.

well is all only know when we really shot plasma in space.

well all the space combat we now is all based on guesses thou what you said about that projectile weapons may work and my guess about the plasma my work but the only way we can really tail is to use the weapons in the vacuum of outer space.

The thing about plasma, and its use as a weapon is that this is constrained to the realms of scifi/fantasy. Glowing chunks of green gas, turning people and ships into skeletons... sadly, this is far from how things would actually go down.
Vacuum in outer space is no different than that inside vacuum chambers. Testing of weapons systems doesn't need to take place in space (which is illegal, by the way) if we already understand physics. Putting something into micro-gravity and vacuum conditions won't break reality.
Plasma is a gas. As such, it expands to fill all available space when allowed to do so, unless otherwise constrained. The current ways we generate, and constrain, plasma is inside high energy magnetic fields. The fields that are generated in Tokamak fusion reaction experiments, for example.
You can find more information on this by searching for "plasma field control" or "Magnetic confinement fusion", an attempted form of fusion that uses plasma.
The short of it is that any plasma weapons would be a very short range (if you manage to generate some sort of projected magnetic field...), and have an absurdly high energy requirement. Honestly, in space you're much better off by throwing chunks of metal at each other. As goeliath mentioned, railguns and other magnetic based projectile weapons are going to be the most effective way to bring the pain in a realistic-ish sci-fi setting.
