Description
Part 7 of my EPIC HALLOWEEN PROJECT brings together the two respective badass anti-heroes of the respective franchises. Amusingly enough, I've been in Sonic fandom AND DBZ fandom long enough to remember the days before Shadow existed, back when Knuckles was most often cast as Vegeta. These days, though, Shadow is definitely the better fit.Shadow the Hedgehog = Vegeta
Super Shadow = Super Saiya-Jin Vegeta, Majin Vegeta
Wolfhog Shadow = Super Saiya-Jin 4 Vegeta

Again, correct. Β Although I'd say Sally!Chi-Chi's marriage to Sonic!Goku is a little bit happier than the original Chi-Chi 'n' Goku's. >w>

An overrated Canon-sue like Shadow is definitely a better fit.

Wolfhog seems weirdly appropriate, I guess because of the analogy to a furry monkey...

Yeah, that was my thought on the matter too. ^_^

One of my favorites, for characters involved and design! Love how you did the golden effects.

I have always loved that the Super forms are so shiny in the New Gen games, and it worked out very nicely here since it gave me an easy cue to show off the change, as doing so in the way DBZ did without going full color would've been difficult. XD

I always picked up on their similarities, too. Good work.

Thanks. Y'know, I actually don't think they're too similar in terms of personality (Vegeta is far more arrogant and emotional, Shadow is more cold and aloof), but the roles they play in their respective stories are damned near identical.

Exactly. I wonder if they were watching DBZ when they created Shadow. lol

I believe either Yuji Naka or Naoto Oshima is on record as saying that DBZ was a big inspiration in building the Sonic franchise, so it's certainly possible. X3

Yeah, Shadow definitely makes a better Vegeta than Tails, lol
I like how you did the shading
