Description
T. Vucub are huge bird-like creatures recently discovered in hollow earth. The Vucubs seem to possess characteristics attributable to those of the now extinct azdarchids, a family of pterosaurs in which the famous Quetzalcoatlus is present.
They are very elegant creatures, but their regal appearance is only a costume inside which hides a ruthless and opportunistic nature.
In fact, the T. Vucubs practice cannibalism; in particular towards the little ones which have more tender and easy to digest meat.
However for the Vucub nothing is almost difficult to digest, so much so that they have very powerful gastric juices, probably among the most powerful in the world of titans, capable of dissolving a great variety of organic and non-organic elements.
Their advanced digestive system isn't the only biologically effective feature; in fact these giants of the skies have gular sacs which act as a deposit of further corrosive acids which they spit against their opponents and towards their prey, corroding their skin; and sometimes killing them outright.
Among other things, these animals also feed on carcasses of all kinds, thus covering: the role of scavenger or scavenger.
The Vucub are purely carnivorous, but as observed they alternate their diet with bones; in particular they prefer the skulls of their preys, which they pierce with their powerful beak to feed on the brain inside.
This behavior has been carefully monitored and it would seem that the vucubs do not do it so much for nutritional purposes, but for an alleged "sadism/entertainment", in the extreme predation of the prey and in the consumption of the latter.
We have reached this conclusion because it would seem that these creatures, after having committed this act, do a kind of celebratory dance by flapping their wings and their beaks full of blood and organic remains.
Furthermore, the male Vucub implement a strong domination towards the females which can occur in various aspects of their life, including hunting and during mating: in fact, it has been seen how the male Vucub usually harass and perform forced copulation with the females, if the latter are not willing. (As far as hunting is concerned, females forage for food, while males wait in the nest.)
The T. Vucub are among the most colorful creatures of the hollow earth, and this characteristic almost always allows them to mate and to tighten a very strong bond, which however will see the male in particular ease compared to the female; which nevertheless apparently remains faithful to receive the protection of the male during the gestation period.
As said just now, the male Vucub manage to get hold of a female in a short time, and this rapidity is obviously due to their colorful appearance; but in particular to one or rather, two very specific characteristics, namely: two green sacs of a color similar to that of jade in males, which are placed on the sides of their chest.
These sacs are released during their amorous display and can glow via bioluminescence by emitting a strong greenish light.
Their sexual dimorphism is not very visible, in fact, apart from the sacs, the only distinctions are some colored fat around the eyes of the male, and a smaller beak and crest in the females.
T. Vucub are huge animals having a 55 meters long beak (in males); with a height of about 110 meters and a wingspan of about 230 meters.
